Just like that... Winter ended, Spring emerged and now we are setting our sights on Summer! With May Long Weekend in the books and the Paddle Pod all ready to go, we are very stoked to announce that Pristine Paddleboard Adventures is fully operational for the 2024 season! We will be open daily 10am - 6pm excluding special tours and events. Please keep an eye on our Instagram posts and stories for up-to-date information.

Exciting New Paddle Experiences for 2024

We are pleased to announce that we now are offering new experiences this Summer! With a combination of carefully curated music, paddleboards and colourful lights to lead the way, we present to you - Paddleboard Glow Cruise Light & Sound Experience! A fully guided 1.5 hour journey around Gordon Bay and beyond! We are now equipped with underwater paddleboard lights from our friends at SUBMRG and we are thrilled to take you on the water! The RGB LED lights are secured to your board with a strap & buckle system. With these lights illuminating the waters below, it not only lights our way on the water but adds a cool effect to the vibe on the water! We invite you to sign up for one of these experiences happening 7 days a week throughout the duration of the summer. Intention Wellness Space & Pristine Paddleboard Adventures Present: Harmony Summer Series

Pristine Paddleboard Adventures is once again teaming up with Julie Madden from the Intention Wellness Space to bring you "experiences in nature to bring you harmony". We have 2 different experiences to offer with a total of 5 events happening this summer! Our first experience is called:

Harmony - Date Night - Twilight Paddle & Slow Yoga Flow

This 2-hour Glow Paddle & Slow Yoga Flow experience will stimulate your senses through fresh air and connection with nature. Explore the waters of Gordon Bay above and below by paddling out during twilight for 1-hour, with multi-colour RGB LED lights attached underneath your board. Find your inner Zen on the water, and then transition into a fully-guided 1-hour Flow Yoga session. This nourishing Yoga Flow will provide you with a relaxed and grounded feeling as you wind down for a great night's sleep (we will be finishing this practice with a delicious beverage). Immerse yourself in the raw elements of Wind, Water and Earth while we warm up the body and allow ourselves to welcome an end to the day with a positive vibration.

Harmony - Rise & Shine - Yoga Flow & Paddleboard Experience

Join us for this unique 2-hour Yoga & Paddleboard Experience to reset and recharge yourself through connection with nature. This fully-guided 1- hour Flow Yoga session takes place amongst the towering trees and lush greenery of Gordon Bay Provincial Park. It's an all-levels Stretch & Slow Flow Yoga class, hosted by Julie Madden, co owner of Intention Wellness Space in Lake Cowichan.

After your yoga session, nourish your senses and glide onto the pristine waters of Cowichan Lake for a 1-hour paddle. Boost your mood, clear your head, and let the freedom take you to where you want to go. Expand your sensory field with the sights and sounds that surround you.

Tofino Kombucha, Hornby Organic & Hardy Buoys Products make their debut at the Paddle Pod

This year we are offering tasty, healthy and thirst-quenching treats! All are locally made on Vancouver Island. We are pleased to announce that we will be carrying all flavours of Tofino Kombucha, Hornby Organic Energy Bars and Hardy Buoys Salmon Jerky!

Improvements to the Paddle Pod

We have made several new improvements inside the Paddle Pod including a new board rack system inside the Pod to organize our fleet of Red Paddle Co. paddleboards. The side rack is constructed of 1/2" steel pipe and fittings. The racks are padded with pool noodles to help protect the boards. The side rack can accommodate 10 paddleboards comfortably. The top rack is simply two 8' steel closet rods mounted to the Pod walls. 5-6 boards of long or short length can be stored up top. We have also mounted hangers on the front door of the Pod for easier access to the Mustang Survival PFDs.This also lets them drip dry outside of the pod and air dry in the breeze. It's the little tweaks that can make a business run that much more smoothly.

New Additions to the Fleet

We learned a few things in our opening season here at PPA and one of the lessons we learned is we needed boards for smaller riders. We are discovering that paddleboarding is popular with kids too! Having a board choice for youth ages 12+ to paddle on helps make this an adventurous family affair. Being able to navigate on their own board whilst still having their parents/guardians close by  helps build a young paddler's confidence. Having a smaller board that is easier to handle makes for a better experience for the young or smaller rider. Thats why we are excited to announce that we have 2 of the Ride Paddle Co. 9'8 Ride board models now in the Pristine fleet. With this addition, this brings the Pristine fleet to a total of 14 Stand-Up Paddleboards.

It is already shaping up to be an exciting 2nd year for PPA! With improvements to the Paddle Pod, exciting new experiences added to the calendar and now the offering of healthy food and beverage items, we are very excited to see the evolution of the business! We sincerely appreciate everyone who has shown their support and helped us become the premiere paddleboard destination on Cowichan Lake. We look forward to seeing you in the park or on the water this summer!
